This notice explains how We Build Walls collects and uses your personal information when you use this website, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

We Build Walls arranges the building of boundary walls in Johannesburg and surrounding areas. We are the responsible party for the information you give us here.

To contact us about your information, use the contact form on this website and mention "privacy".

What we collect

Your name and phone number
Your email address, if you give it (optional)
Your street address and suburb, so we can find you for the site visit
Your wall details (length, height, finish), the visit time you pick, when you need the wall, and any notes you add

Why we use it

To book and carry out your site visit, and to prepare and send you a quote
To contact you about your visit or quote, by phone, WhatsApp or email
To build your wall, if you accept our quote, and to keep the business and tax records the law requires

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

The builder who visits you and builds your wall. They receive your name, phone number, address, wall details and notes, so they can arrive at the right place and quote the job. They don't receive our prices.
Service providers that run this website: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) and Resend (sending email). They process your information for us and only for this purpose.

Because some of these providers store data outside South Africa, your information may be processed in other countries. We use providers that protect it with appropriate security measures.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we are dealing with your quote or job, and afterwards for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting or legal reasons. If you never go ahead, we delete your details on request.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your device contacts Google's servers when a page opens.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
